I love all forms of design and my creative work is heavily influenced by art and design history. When I paint a piece of furniture I embrace its original style so it continues to respect and reflect its unique history, but with a unique modern twist.
The pieces I’ve transformed have all found themselves superceded and languishing at the back of someone’s cupboard, garage, at an op-shop or ready to be taken to the tip. Rather than adding them to our collective pile of rubbish, I’ve developed a new, unique design concept for the piece that honours its origins, but also makes a bold statement in a modern home.
Jeanius! reloved is all about reusing and recycling what is already available and producing unique pieces that transcend interior fashions. I like to tip toe along the edge of, and push the boundaries between art / design / and craft.
I love coming up with interesting ideas for painting furniture. I can suggest and be guided by you to create a bespoke piece that will make a statement in your home. Please contact me if you'd like to discuss what you have in mind.
I also make sets of upcycled placemats and coathook racks to order. These can be designed around existing decor or even as a unique and lasting gift for someone special. Contact me for more information
